Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Wide Receiver Rashee Rice

The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening confirming they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations circulated in social media posts by a ex-partner of wide receiver the athlete and had been in contact with the league office.

The team omitted the name of the player specifically in their announcement and said they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Allegations Shared on Instagram

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, shared a set of images on social media that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones stated the person involved was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.

The receiver was absent for the initial part of this season following an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a multi-vehicle accident on a Dallas highway that left several individuals injured. He was given a month of incarceration and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to felony charges.
