Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the firm commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of reports of questionable actions involving young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
